5 Jan 2020, Cycle A-2020, Is 60:1-6 + Eph 3:2-3a, 5-6 + Mt 2:1-12

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea … behold magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star at its rising and have come to do him homage.” When king Herod heard this, he was greatly troubled, and all Jerusalem with him (Mt 2:1-3)

Some find little signs of Jesus,
but seek more of Him.
Others find bigger signs of Jesus,
but block all of Him.

Some hear the name of Jesus,
and are elated.
Ohers hear the name of Jesus,
and are troubled.

Some see God in Jesus,
and they worship.
Others see evil in Jesus,
and they go kill. VSS

Though darkness covers the earth, and thick clouds the peoples, upon you the Lord will dawn, and over you His glory will be seen (Is 60:2).
