23 Dec 2018. 4th Sunday Advent. Cycle C-2019. Mi 5:1-4a + Heb 10:5-10 + Lk 1:39-49
Blessed is the fruit of your womb (Lk 1:42).

Overseas brims with brawn but drained of brain. Overseas brain ends up in America's plain -- an American gain. But while overseas brain draws up America's gain, American brain is drawn out the womb in abortion drain. Now when homegrown brain is gone, Whence would brain come: That gets the yield to feed the land? That makes gadgets to help the land? That taps energy local and abounding? That drives the economy soaring? That develops software virus-free? That shoves dread disease to history? That keeps terrorism off the gate? That leads man to God's embrace? Blessed is the land abounding with Brain -- the fruit of the womb. VSS
Behold sons are a gift from the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like the arrows in the hand of a warrior are the sons of one’s youth. Happy the man whose quiver is filled with them; they shall not be put to shame when they contend with enemies at the gate (Ps 127:3-5).
“Each newborn child arrives on earth with a message to deliver to mankind. clenched in his little fist is some particle of yet unrevealed truth, some missing clue, which may solve the enigma of man’s destiny… He must be treated as top-sacred.” — Sam Levinson
