9 Apr 2020. Holy Thursday. Cycle A-2020. Ex 12:1-8, 11-14 + 1Cor 11:23-26 + Jn 13:1-15

Watch and pray that you may not undergo the test. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak (Mk 14:38).

The Lord’s Prayer (Mt 6:9-13) is the most memorized rote daily prayer among Christians.

Another Lord’s Prayer,the following Gethsemane Prayer (Mt 26:39, 42, 44; Mk 14:36), comes most handy as a rote prayer in times of trial, confusion, or suffering.

GETHSEMANE PRAYER

Father, all things are possible to you. 
Let this cup pass from me. 
Yet, not as I will, but as you will. 
Father, if it is not possible 
That this cup pass without my drinking it, 
Your will be done.

Say it three times, as Jesus did. VSS
