5 Jul 2020. Cycle A. 14th Sunday OT. Zec 9:9-10 + Rom 8:9, 11-13 + Mt 11:25-30

…although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike (Mt 11:25).

The childlike understands teaching; the childish withstands teaching (cf. 1Cor 13:11).

To be childlike is to trust and to believe like a child. To be childish is to doubt and to rebel like a brat.

Because God is omnipotent,
	He is unmatchable.
Because God is omnificent,
	He is unchangeable.
Because God is omniscient,
	He is infallible.
And because God is omnipresent,
	He is accessible.

Because He is all things able,
 	In God we trust;
Because He is dependable,
	In God we trust;
Because He is so affable,
	In God we trust;
Even because He is ineffable
	Even in God we trust.

Because in Him we trust,
	In Him we love faithful,
	In Him we work fruitful,
 	In Him we live peaceful,
	In Him we sleep restful,
Because in Him we always trust. VSS
