12 May 2021. Ascension of the Lord. Cycle B-2021. Acts 1:1-11 + Eph 1:17-23 + Mk 16:15-20

“Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.” … So then the LORD Jesus, after He spoke to them, was taken up into heaven and took His seat at the right hand of God (Mark 16:15-16, 19).

We are born into ideals,
and we live with these ideals.
We do not beget ideals,
but we propagate ideals.
We do not surpass ideals
but still, we pass on ideals.
Ideals, though unrealized,
Beckon us to aim up higher.
Ideals lift life to Heaven,
for the mere quest for ideals
bears fruit into eternal life. VSS
